Things are moving quickly at the state house around the budget. Senator Troy Singleton has introduced S2621, a bill that adjusts the rate from 30% to 27% rate at which proceeds accruing from the sale of lottery tickets are dedicated for public pension payments. Attached is a flyer with the call in information. We strongly oppose any reduction to dedicated funding of public sector pensions and need all members in LD 7 to contact Senator Singleton’s office and tell him to withdrawal the bill. Please share with any members that live in LD 7 and encourage them to make the call as well.
