State Shutdown Countdown: Which beach are you on?

Shutdown briefing for Shop Stewards

We just briefed our CWA State Worker Shop Stewards on our plans in the event of a state government shut down. We’re ready to fight. We’re ready to do whatever it takes. ✊

State Workers: Text NJBUDGET to 69866 to stay up to date.

Attention – the Assembly and Senate have cancelled their sessions

Attention – the Assembly and Senate have cancelled their sessions.

CWA members should still come to Trenton as planned – just go to the War Memorial instead of the State House. ATU is also still going to Trenton – but ATU members should be in touch with Ray Greaves.

Others should follow the instructions of their leaders and call the 609-400-4763 number 3 times and speak with their legislators and tell them to support a Millionaire’s Tax and #StopSweeneysShutdown.

The Assembly and Senate are supposed to be in session tomorrow, and if there is no budget deal today – which we do not expect – we will need folks there on Saturday as well.

See you soon.

BREAKING: DATE CHANGE of RALLY – 6/29

UPDATE: The Assembly and Senate cancelled their see for today, moving us much closer to a crisis.

If you are coming down today, there will be a dry place to be at the Masonic Temple (100 Barrack St., just a short walk from the Statehouse), and we have productive work for folks to do.

Or PLEASE come Friday when the Legislators are in session and can stop hiding.
